Progress on This Week's Recycling Incidents Was as Follows:

[Wuhan, Hubei: 60kt LFP Battery Dry Process Recycling Project Commences Operation] Recently, the 60kt LFP battery dry process recycling project of Wuhan Ruikemei New Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ruikemei"), which received special investment from the Yangtze New Area Industrial Fund, was officially launched and commenced operation in the Yangtze New Area. The first phase of this project involves a total planned investment of 500 million yuan. Upon reaching full production, it is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 300 million yuan, offering both economic and ecological benefits. The project utilizes a fully dry, short-flow direct regeneration process, a highly competitive core technology in the industry. This process physically separates LFP from the cathode material of scrap lithium batteries, directly producing LFP cathode material that meets battery production standards.

[Jiujiang, Jiangxi: 30kt Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project Launched] A 30kt lithium battery comprehensive utilization project has been launched in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. The total investment for the project is 386 million yuan. Located in the Chengxi Port Area of the Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, the project plans to establish production lines for second-life application of lithium batteries, crushing and screening lines, and crushing and screening lines for lithium battery positive and negative pole pieces. Specifically, it will construct 2 crushing lines for scrap ternary lithium battery cathode pole pieces, 1 crushing line for scrap ternary lithium battery anode pole pieces, 2 crushing lines for scrap LFP battery cathode pole pieces, and 1 crushing line for scrap LFP battery anode pole pieces.

[Yangquan City: 120kt Scrap New Energy Power Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project Launched] On December 18, the People's Government of Yangquan City's Jiaoqu District officially released the "Second Public Notice on the Environmental Impact Assessment for the Annual 120kt Scrap New Energy Power Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project of Yangquan Wanlitong Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd." According to the notice, the project is located in the Weibo Park of the Modern Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park within Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone, with a total floor area of 136,000 m². The project plans to purchase scrap lithium battery processing equipment to establish a total of 12 production lines, aiming to achieve the ultimate goal of processing 120kt of scrap new energy power batteries annually.

[Fenyang City: Latest Progress on the Annual 30kt Scrap Power Battery Processing Project] On December 5, Shanxi Bingding Fengsheng Renewable Resources Co., Ltd. completed the second public notice for the environmental impact assessment of its scrap power battery comprehensive utilization project. This marks a crucial step forward in the compliant construction of this project, which has a total investment of 300 million yuan and an annual processing capacity of 30,000 metric tons. According to the notice, the project is located in Fenyang City, Lvliang City, Shanxi Province. The main construction content includes production workshops and the procurement of supporting production line equipment. Once operational, the project will establish an annual comprehensive utilization capacity for processing 30,000 metric tons of scrap power batteries.

[Lithium Battery Recycling Project in Jining, Shandong Announced] Information from the "Annual Comprehensive Recycling Project of 50,000 mt of Scrap Batteries by Zhongxi Tianma New Material Technology Co., Ltd." on China's proposed and under-construction project website shows that Zhongxi Tianma New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is expected to enter the lithium battery recycling industry. It is reported that the total investment of the project exceeds 1 billion yuan, with a site area of 150 mu and a total floor area of 65,000 m². The project will mainly construct new sorting workshops, electrolysis workshops, dismantling workshops, etc. Upon completion, it will achieve an annual processing capacity of 50,000 mt of scrap lithium batteries, supported by the construction of utilities such as water supply and drainage, and heating to meet project requirements. The project construction period is from 2025 to 2028.

According to the latest data from the Passenger Car Association, in December 2025, producers with new energy wholesale sales exceeding 10,000 units accounted for 93% of the total wholesale sales of passenger NEVs that month. Based on preliminary January data, these producers achieved sales of 830,000 units in January. As most producers have already locked in their major sales figures, by applying the structural proportion from the previous month to the current month's data, the estimated wholesale sales of passenger NEVs nationwide in January were 900,000 units. According to comprehensive preliminary monthly association data: the estimated wholesale sales of NEVs by national passenger car producers in January 2026 were 900,000 units, up 1% YoY.
